TM ~ What Are You Waiting For?
Feb. 5th, 2007 07:41 amLife is full of moments.
Some are little moments that mean little to anyone other than us. Some are personal moments that also affect those that take an interest in our lives, but do little beyond those borders. Then there are those moments that ripple out through the world and leave an impact on people that we will never even meet. Moments that will leave permanent imprints on people’s hearts and souls that never let them go.
It’s easy to look back on a life and see the bigger moments. The bonding of two hearts, the birth of a child, the death of a loved one, a disaster that shocks the world, these are all moments that are easy for anyone to see. However it’s the small moments that come before those larger events that are important. Without them, the larger moments would never come to pass at all.
It’s the moment when love sends its first tendrils of warmth through a body, and brings with it the fear of denial. It’s when a girl sees a baby, and is overcome with the idea of one day having one of her own. It’s when a child sees a firefighter rescue someone from a burning building, and dreams of being a hero. These are the small moments that lead a person in a direction that they didn’t even realize they wanted to go.
So you ask what it is that I am waiting for, and the simple answer is that I’m not waiting for anything. The moments are already here.
