Darius found the spider on his desk as he sat down to work. It didn’t surprise him really as he often found such things in the old church, especially when the weather was wet.

Moving slowly, the priest picked up the piece of paper the creature was currently crawling across and used it to carefully deposit the spider in one of his cups. He then took the spider outside and released it away from the walkways.

He watched it as it crawled away and marveled once again at the order of nature, where nothing, no matter how small, was insignificant.
