Darius spent the first part of Thursday morning praying, not only for the people of London, but for everyone throughout the world who had been touched in some way by that event, or by any other act of violence. He sighed softly to himself and wondered when mankind would come to the realization that violence was never the answer.

Once he was finished, he opened the doors to the church and left them standing open throughout the day and continued to do so each day all throughout the weekend, allowing anyone who felt the need to simply walk in and find what peace they could within the walls of St. Julien's.

Isabella enters St. Julien's not out of a desire for spiritual sanctuary, but simple nostalgia. She remains a stranger to this time and place, despite her many pretensions at acclimating, and the church reminds her of home -- that is, 14th century France. So she walks down the aisle, moving rather wearily in her modern heels, half-expecting her old Parisian priest to emerge from the shadows and berate her for a lifetime of missed confessions.

Darius looks up at soft click of heels on the floor of the church. He watches the young woman move through the church and notes that she moves with a grace that is not altogether common in today's society. Intrigued, he slips his hands into the sleeves of his robes and slowly moves towards her.

Isabella turns at his approach, a strange expression on her face. For a moment there she really felt as though she were back in her own time. She shakes her head slightly and smiles, more at herself than at him.

"Good evening. You must be the resident priest." Her French accent is conspicuous, not because it's particularly strong, but because there's something distinctly archaic about it.

Her accent adds to Darius' curiosity about his visitor, as he hasn't heard it spoken in quite that way in several centuries. Also, something about her strikes him as being vaguely familiar, but he can't quite place what it is.

He smiles and nods. "Good evening. I am Father Darius." His own accent sounds very similar to German, but there are slight differences to the way he pronounces some words.

"This is a beautiful church you have here. Though I can't help thinking it might feel more at home on the other side of the Atlantic." She takes another pace or two along the aisle, watching him steadily, though her expression is still remote. "I wonder if you are at all connected with any of the parishes in France?"

Darius smiles warmly. "Thank you, she is indeed quiet a lovely little church. And actually, St. Julien's was located in Paris not to long ago and was just moved here earlier this year."

OOC - Ack! Yet another thread I've let fall by the wayside. Note to self: must learn not to be impulsive and let pups go dropping in on people when I really can't get my RP act together as it is. But Bella had been wanting to meet Darius so I gave in... I know you're moving soon, and have a ton going on and at this point figure the thread is better put off until another time, if you're still interesting in continuing that is. :)
