86 - What is your greatest strength?
Aug. 8th, 2005 09:50 amDarius would spend the long days tending to the sick, one of the few who would brave the plague in order to do so. He did his best to comfort the dying and to bring them what relief he could, and it was whispered through the villages that he must be an angel from God.
Years later, he helped those who were wounded on the field of battle, regardless of which side they had fought on. There were people that muttered behind his back about his helping the enemy, but he paid them no mind, and continued on with his work.
Many more years passed, and a group of men entered St. Julien’s with only one thing on their mind, the death of a man who they considered an abomination. Darius tried to get them to see reason, but to no avail. His last thought before the end was that they would see the error of their ways.
Darius’ greatest strength, and perhaps his greatest weakness, was the compassion he felt for everyone around him and the belief that everyone was worth saving, regardless of who and what they might be.
