TM - 93 - Most People Wish That I...

Most people wish that I could be exactly what they need or want me to be at any given time, depending on who and what they are and what they believe. Each person that I encounter looks at me and wishes and hopes that I will be exactly what they are looking for, even when they are not sure themselves what that might be. They want to see in me, something that will make them feel better about themselves, and they sometimes find themselves to be disappointed when I cannot give them exactly what it is that they are looking for.

They want me to be a general, a confidant, a confessor, a hypocrite, a savior, a warmonger, a peacemaker, a tyrant, a teacher, a student, a friend, an enemy, an advisor, and any number of other things.

The simple truth is, that I am none of those things, and I am all of them.

We all are.
