TM ~ Describe Your Perfect Day
Jun. 7th, 2007 03:51 pmMy perfect day starts when everyone forgets. They forget about the color of people’s skin, their sexual orientation, their choice of religion, their gender, their age, their place of residence, their country of origin, and all other forms of prejudice. They forget how much money they have compared to others, who is better looking than who, and what kinds of cars and houses everyone owns. They forget the ways of murder, death, and destruction.
Then, they start to remember. They remember the golden rule, and how to treat everyone the same way that they would wish to be treated themselves. They remember to give assistance to those in need, and not look away when passing someone less fortunate. They remember how to give love and friendship, without expecting anything in return. They remember that we are all the same inside, and that our lives are really not as different as they might seem.
My perfect day ends with everyone forgetting how to hate, remembering how to love, and living together in peace.
