on_holy_groundA child’s ambitions change from day to day, and from moment to moment. Many we do not remember upon growing up, and then there are others that we wish we could forget all together. And always, they grow and change, even as we do ourselves.
When I was very young, I wanted to follow in the footsteps of many others who had come before me. Except that isn’t entirely accurate, as I had never really wanted to follow those others, as much as I had wanted to lead them towards my own personal goals.
So as a child, I suppose that you might say that my greatest ambition was to bring my own brand of unity to the world that I knew.
When I got a bit older, I came to the sudden understanding that the way that I had chosen to pursue that ambition was the wrong way, and so I searched for another path. Eventually, after much searching, I found one that would allow me to continue to follow my dream in a way that was more in line with my new views on life.
And so here I am today, still slowly working towards world unity, one person at a time.
