TM ~ Dance
Nov. 30th, 2006 02:47 pmDarius made his way quickly through the men that stood in his path, working his way towards the center of the city, where those of importance were likely to be located. He barely glanced at their faces as he sliced his way through their ranks, not caring how young many of them were in this battle for Rome. If they were old enough to choose the soldier’s ways, then they were old enough to die a soldier’s death, and he would be more than willing to deliver that death to them.
The general made his way swiftly from one opponent to the next, always moving so as to make a harder target for any that would try to take him down. His sword sometimes seemed to be nothing more than a glint of metal as it sliced through the air and into the flesh beyond, then just as quickly pulled away again and moved onto the next in line.
It was the age-old dance of death, and it was one that Darius had long ago mastered.
