TM ~ Would You Ever Kill Another?
Apr. 16th, 2007 07:28 amThe wording of the question was of a great deal of importance to Darius, given who he was now and whom he had once been. For the simple truth of the matter was that he had killed before, both mortals and immortals alike. There had been a time when he gladly would have washed his hands in the blood of those he considered to be his enemies, and would not have thought twice about doing so again. In fact, killing had been a way of life more than anything else, and it had been the only one that he had really known.
That however, had been in the far distant past, and many things had changed. Now, Darius had come to see that bloodshed was nothing more than a vicious cycle that could only end in pain for all involved. It didn’t matter whether it was a mortal, or one of his own kind, because in the end the few differences between them meant very little. Now, even if it meant his own death, he would no longer kill another.
A life was a life, and taking it was wrong regardless of the reasoning behind it.
“Thou shalt not kill.”
