Talk To The Mun
Jun. 13th, 2007 10:29 amIf you have something you want to say, or questions to ask about me, or my pups, or the way I do things with my pups, then please do so now. It can be about how I play them, how I write them, how I see them, or whatever you want to discuss.
Good, bad, indifferent, or whatever it happens to be, I'd like the chance to answer and to give my own personal viewpoints on things.
Also, if you have a plot idea involving the pup, or would just like to find a way to play with them in game, then put that here too. :)
Ready? Go!

Date: 2007-06-14 03:39 am (UTC)I actually picked him up initially, because Bria made a request for a Darius pup one year as something she wanted for Christmas. Now he had always been one of my favorite characters, but frankly I was afraid of him. I mean he's a pretty beloved character of HL fans, and I was afraid of messing him up. However, he had that kind of philosophical bent that I liked, and he was someone that was completely different from Wes which was important to me. So I finally went ahead and made the plunge with him.
With Darius, it can be difficult. He's not my hardest pup, that would fall to my Kronos, but he's a close second. With the priest side, it's a matter of trying to believe in the best in everyone. It's in not judging anyone for their actions. It's in believing in peace, and the inherent goodness in man. He uses a lot of things from my own church services.
With the general side, I have to be very careful because I don't want him to seem to much like Kronos, in that he's a brutal killer. For me Darius was the more the cold, calculated kind. There's a rage hidden in him, but it's one that he has control over most of the time. He's the charismatic leader type. He likes to use mind games as much as he does physical brutality. He doesn't kill for no reason. I also believe, that with the plot I have going now where the general is back, that the time as a priest has changed him in some ways, even though he won't admit it.
And I think I've rambled on long enough. *lol*

Date: 2007-06-14 07:21 pm (UTC)I would also personally adore au!hobbie and au!wes at some point. Because it looks like they won't be playing together any other way. :( *kicks them*
As far as questions go. Hm. Er. I think I've actually got nothin', for the moment.

Date: 2007-06-14 07:28 pm (UTC)Yeah, the bastards. I'm cool with that whenever you want to start. Like I told Alison, not around much this weekend, but other than that I think I'm good for a little while at least. (hugs)

Date: 2007-06-14 07:29 pm (UTC)I'm not around much this weekend either, but I'll try to think something up for it.
Also!: any questions for me? Might as well repay the "interrogate me, plz" favor.

Date: 2007-06-14 07:57 pm (UTC)throughsome people. With the being ghosty and all. Not least of which should be Willow, I'd imagine.Ana's sort of incommunicado till somebody decides to dig her up from wherever Angelus stashed her, I suppose.
I know Ali'd wanted Damion and Face to talk but she didn't really mention it beyond that so I have no idea what she wants to do with it.
Loki's not got tons of reasons to be around besides watching, but until he's needed to fix this mess (if so), he probably won't be showing up.
I have no idea what to do with Ili. Does Angelus wanna kill her? *hides*
Sort of feel like I might should bring in somebody likely to be more active. (and I think the Hobbie subplot is pretty effectively dropped. I have no idea why he didn't go check up on Wes when they were supposed to leave. [I think they'd made plans? Or am I nuts?]) I've got other muse journals just sorta gathering dust but I'm not sure who'd mesh well.
Maybe the Powers need a new Champion? *hides, again?* Or wait, would that be Tim? :D

Date: 2007-06-14 08:56 pm (UTC)We do need to have someone go try and find her, huh?
I believe Face is looking to kill things, or something, which is why he was wanting to talk to Damion.
Do you want Angelus to kill her?
They made plans, but they yeah, Wes died. I don't know that Hobbie's aware of that yet, actually...
Heh. I have no idea if Tim is or not, but he's certainly doing his best to help out with Angel gone.

Date: 2007-06-14 09:45 pm (UTC)And yeah, it'd be nice.
That makes sense. :D
And....*flips a coin!* Coin says no. *pout* But he could try!
Well that's sort of what I mean. There was sort of a time limit for those plans. I think that they'd needed to get wherever by a specific date. Or I could be misremembering, it's been a while. And no, Hobbie isn't aware of it. I'm not sure anybody else around knew Hobbie was on-planet.
Yay Tim!

Date: 2007-06-15 03:21 pm (UTC)I'm sure I could come up with a good reason for Angelus to try and kill of Ili for you. ;)
And no, they had to go to a retirement thing for Wedge and Tycho. Maybe that's why Hobbie hasn't been around. When Wes never showed, he had to leave or miss it.

Just wanted to say I'm enjoying Anson's thread with Darius SO much and would love to do more threads with him. I'm open to just about anything. Anson responds to older male authority figures (I'd say Darius certainly qualifies *g*) so the chemistry there is very interesting.
He's a great character and a treat to play with, and you've been absolutely wonderful to me. Thanks! :)

Date: 2007-06-26 05:33 pm (UTC)And I'm always up for plotting something. I know that Korda wanted to bring Cee by for a visit to the church for a private tour, (no church now I know so perhaps visit in Brazil ) but then Darius got dark and Korda was like, no way am I letting that man near Cee! So, how is the priest these days? Is it safe or would Korda have to have security around if they got together? Let me know and I'll email you with my idea. ?)

Date: 2007-06-26 08:02 pm (UTC)Do you find similarities to this in how you view your characters? And how do you keep a clean line between them in the way you write them?
Yeah, that's pretty much how my stronger characters do things. It's like they have a piece of chalk or something, and they divide my head into places that they then think of as theirs. One muse will be more talkative if I what I'm feeling falls under their particular niche, so to speak. It's why sometimes I simply can't rep for one muse, but can hit a couple dozen tags for another. It all kind of depends on who's the one in control at any particular time.
As to keeping a clear line between them, it's actually why I tend to keep my pups as diverse as I do. I don't like having one pup that sounds too much like another. That's part of the reason why I ended up dropping Fitz, actually. He was starting to sound too much like Wes in some aspects, and it was bothering me. A lot of people said they could hear the difference between the two pups, but for me it was getting more and more difficult, and so I had to choose between them. Now, my four main pups each have very different views and ways of speaking, which gives them very clear voices in my head. Wes is easy going, and playful, but has a hard edge. Darius is thoughtful and warm as the priest, and cold and calculating as the general. K'tanya is annoying as hell, and as the only girl, is easily separated from the others. Kronos is viscous and manipulative. So they are each very different from the other, and don't cause much in the way of voice problems for me. :)
So, how is the priest these days? Is it safe or would Korda have to have security around if they got together?
Well he's still the General, but I wouldn't say that he would be dangerous to Korda or to Cee. They way that I've chosen to play the General, is actually rather similar to how you play Korda. He's not like Kronos, in that he kills just for the sake of killing. He's very calculated in how he chooses to do things, unless someone really pisses him off. I based this on his reputation as a strategist, and on the idea that all that time spent with the light quickening was bound to change him a bit from the barbarian that he had been. He would never admit to that, but it is true just the same.
So, I'd say it should be fine to get them together. :)

That yours speak to you at different times, or moods makes perfect sense, that's how mine are as well. It's the mark of their strength I think.
I miss Fitz, but do understand what you mean. There's a very thin line between one character's voice in our heads and another and you don't want them to cross each other.
As to them getting together I'll run it past Cee's writer however Korda has but one thing to say to it all and it hasn't change.
Korda: Like I told my writer before this chat you two are having. Why would I want to let him near Cee?!! *crosses arms and taps foot* I saw what he did to the Watchers.
*lol* He's so protective but I think it would be interesting indeed. *g*

Date: 2007-06-27 03:43 pm (UTC)Heh, that is SO true!
Darius wants to point out that he had perfectly good reasons for doing what he did, and that it even went beyond Hsu's thirst for revenge. After all, he was killed by Watchers. ;)
