RP - Getting Together with

May. 6th, 2008 12:58 pmIt didn't take Darius long to find the address of the new place that Methos was now living in, although that was more because of the cab driver he had hired rather than anything done on his own part. New York was a city that was far to similar in appearance for him to ever really be adequate at finding where things were easily. Oh give him a few decades and he'd probably figure it out at least partially, but for the moment he had to rely on the people around him to get to where he needed to go.
Heading up the short stairway leading to the building, Darius kept the long staff he carried more or less tucked under his arm. The cabbie hadn't asked questions, probably assuming it was simply a walking stick or something of that nature. Odd perhaps, but certainly not unheard of in a city that held so many people.
In fact, the stick was actually a quarterstaff, and it was carried mainly to ease the mind of Ynez. She didn't like him wandering around without some form of protection, and while she would have preferred it to be something much sharper, she was willing to concede to the staff given Darius' flat our refusal to carry a sword for any reason. He doubted she was happy with it, but he had not given her any real choice in that matter.
As he reached the top, Darius glanced once more at the sheet of paper in his hands, reaffirming the number of the apartment before pushing the corresponding button on the building's intercom system. Now he simply had to wait for a reply from the old man upstairs.

Date: 2008-05-07 01:38 am (UTC)He looks around his penthouse apartment as if he was just caught by his 'unexpected parent', looking for something to clean up. However, there was nothing to clean up so he decided to put on some hot water for tea.
Just in case, but...he's pretty sure that Darius won't mind.
He could feel him halfway up the elevator and it made him smile.

Date: 2008-05-07 05:26 pm (UTC)Darius tensed slightly as he felt the other's presence, but that was simply a body reflex. No different really from blinking when something passed to close to an eye. Then the elevator doors opened, and Darius made his way to the door and knocked lightly. He was looking forward to spending a bit of time with his old friend, despite the sometimes interesting, conversations they had on occasion. Having rather different viewpoints on things did tend have that kind of effect.

Date: 2008-05-08 01:47 am (UTC)Methos steps back so Darius can come in. "I just put on some water for that...tea that you drink. Yes, I have some for you. You can put the beer in the fridge."
Now that Darius was...well...not very priest like, he shows him what it's like to be a friend and not a guest or acquaintance. He has to do stuff himself now.

Microwaving water for tea? Mortifying really.

Date: 2008-05-12 11:45 am (UTC)"I am changing, Methos. The thoughts and feelings that have been a part of me since that day in Paris are there once more, but I find myself wanting something more. I still want to help those around me, and to try and bring what peace I can to humanity, but I want to do it while discovering the things I have been putting on hold for all these years."
