There will come a day when the world will be ready. They will lay down their arms and their hatreds and finally come to the understanding that we are all one race despite our differences. It may not be today, or tomorrow, or even within the next millennia, but it will come.
I know there are many who scoff at the very idea of peace. They say that humanity will always be at war. They say there are too many differences between us and too much greed and envy in the world for such a thing to ever be obtained. For them, nothing will ever really change.
It is in fact because of these kinds of people that peace is still nothing more than an ideal. They keep telling us that nothing ever changes, and too many look at what the world is now and believe them. People are easily swayed by what they see, and it is only the few that can look beyond that to what we can become.
The world can change. We can all come to see that despite all the differences between us, there are so many things that are the same. Our passions can drive us apart, but if we allow them, they can also pull us together. Humanity is capable of so much more, and when we realize that then we will be one step closer to finding a way to live together as one people.
A flood starts with just one drop of rain, and it can take just one voice to start a revolution that can change everything.
