Not all that long ago I made a rather serious mistake and got Darius into something that he wasn't ready for, and that I never should have let go that far. I am going to stress that this was my mistake as a mun and it wasn't really the muse's fault, but they're always the ones that end up paying for it in the end.

Basically what it comes down to is that this situation has made him no fun for me to play anymore. I can barely get him to talk to me and even when he does it seems forced, at least to me. I guess the easiest thing to say is that it hurts for me to do so, and I'm tired of it hurting.

However, after some contemplation on the matter last night, I have decided that I cannot delete his journal in good conscience. His story is not the only one that is told here, and since I know how frustrated I get when someone deletes something that one of my muses had a hand in I can't do that same thing to someone else.

What I am going to do though is lock it down and close it. Darius was a lot of fun for a lot of years, but sometimes things change. Maybe one day they'll change again, but for now I think it's time for me to let the priest rest. For the sake of continuity in other muse's lives who have a need to know such things, Darius has gone into seclusion at the estate of a dear friend in Paris.

Thank you to those who have read and played with him over the years, and who at least gave him the respect that he deserved even when I didn't deserve it.

Thanks,
Dia

Tea will miss him. As will all my muses who interacted with him over the years.

None of my muses ever interacted with him, but I read him. I'll miss it, but I understand that this is your decision.

I'll miss reading your Darius prompts in Writers Muses, but, I understand your need to do what you need to do. Please feel free to leave him as a member of the Community with no pressure, then later, should a prompt stir a response, the ability to respond will be available to you.

Hsu had a lot of fun with Darius, and we will both miss him terribly, but I know how it is when a situation just makes a muse fall silent. You really did do a great job with him.

Will we still be able to read posts here?

As long as he has you on his friends list, yes. So you should be good.

I'll miss reading new posts from him, you've always done the character justice.

I'll really miss Darius. He was a steady and serene oasis in Anson's life and Anson loves and admires him, so much so that he even entrusted Brody to his care, which he wouldn't do with just anyone. You've been a pleasure to play with as well and I've enjoyed writing with you.

I hope it's not final. Maybe just a long, well-deserved rest.

Oh gosh I am so sad to hear this. *sigh* Perhaps with time you may feel differently.
Korda is going to deeply miss Darius. I don't know exactly what they might have done together in this LJ. If you lock it down would there be a way for me to find the things they worked on together?

In time I'm sure he'll decide to start speaking again. He just needs a rest.

I'm only going to lock the journal so that it's friends only, so you should be fine to see things in it still. I'm also going to work on tagging it so that people can find things easier as well. :)
